Death Machine

Tony Hutcheson Death Machine brings to mind a dystopia so dark and brooding that virtually no light can exist and yet light there is, skilfully interwoven angelic voices of Aria and Tamsyn to calm the savage unrelenting beast that is the heart rate altering bass and the disturbingly ominous chanting of the male vocals. Not my family’s cup of ox blood but an album that’s been on high rotate in my work shed since it’s release. Most definitely three thumbs up. Excellent addition to the history of music in NZ. Favorite track: Coward.

Matt Harvey The brooding intro to Echolalia, the fury of Coward and the galloping outro riff to Succession are just a few highlights of what is an expansive and accomplished follow-up to their doom-laden debut EP. The vinyl release is also extremely well presented and well worth a shout. Favorite track: Succession.

Matt Ledingham This is a beautiful record. Cohesive. Beautifully made. Highly recommend the vinyl print to get the deep bits in there. Congratulations and thank you x

Deetraine I've recently switched doom scrolling for doom metal, and while my screen time has dropped 35% per week, my scream time has increased by at least 90% per day, due to the addictive nature of this incredible album. DoN are both students of their genre - (this comes across in the punishingly heavy guitars and chasmic drum sound) and innovative experimentalists who enjoy surprising the listener with dynamic songwriting chops and diverse vocal tones. The vinyl release is well worth it. Favorite track: Coward.
